New filters for electronic mail - Updated

I now have more than 50 keywords filters in place, since SpamAssassin and all the other crap I was using didn’t quite work. Using keyword filters has proven successful, cutting the spam from 200 messages per day to less than 30.

With the inclusion of these new filters there is a strong risk I may lose legitimate email. Unfortunately, the Internet has come to this; poor usage makes us take extreme measures.

So, if you sent me an email, two days gone by and you didn’t get a reply, please send it again, and change the subject.

This applies to all my accounts: FSF, work, @goukihq.org and @ubuntu.com

The less creative you get with the subject, the better the chances of me actually getting the message.

I also convert all incoming email to plain text. That means I don’t receive ANY attachments or HTML crap that may come on the message. If you need to send me something, contact me first. I’ll talk you through it.
